well, so tonight was fun... all i do is meet new people i love it! went over to sonora met up with mike, drew and their friend steve. it was cool, of course we went to wendy's cause thats the hip hop happenin place to be right? so after that we went back to mikes dorm and watched pulp fiction... i have only seen it in peices, but it makes alot more sense when you see it all together. then i ventured back on over here.

this weekend i went over my cousins house. it was alot of fun, i got to sleep in a big king size bed... oh man it was great! i did really well on my geography exam. i am going to major in geography and my professor was really cool. he said i "have a gift" haha. but its cool i think i am going to love it! and overall i am doing really well in my classes in general my geography professor mentioned that i should think about some honors society, Gamma Theta Upsilon. could be cool. just gotta keep my grades up. never thought i would be doing so well huh? kinda scary. BIG
change from high school!

this has been a hard weekend for some of my friends back in wakefield (a hard year for that matter) i just want to say, my thoughts and prayers are with you, wish i was up there with you guys. i miss you all soo much and love you! if you need to talk do not hesitate to call me.

i have a whole mix of emotions going through me right now: saddness, happiness, greatfulness, anger, confusion, distress, and accomplishment all at the same time... its really hard to explain.......

but things are chill down here,
Irv

well last night was wicked cool. me, andrew, joe, and mike's friend jason went to this go kart racing place but it wasnt like go karts back at home.... these were wicked fast go karts... so it was funny. i havent driven anything in about a month so it took me a while to get used to it. well thats just the excuse i am using. but on the first run almost every corner i would spin out. i ended up finishing last place... minus the guys that no one knew... mike was first in our group and he must of passed me about 5 times... evertime, i got that damn jerk of a wave... haha, good times. however, the second time around i didnt finish last i finished 3rd to last so it was pimp! still didnt beat mike but we can leave that until next time.

but college is fun, study hard, play hard. i have a religions of the world test this week... i dont think it will be that hard. just have to make sure i study alot for it.

well i am outta here, later

hey guys, i miss all my wakefield kids sooo much. its wicked weird to see everyone at school and stuff. we have worked so hard to get to this point and its like whoa... not saying i dont like college, i just miss my people back home... its an ajustment. i think its because my group of friends ou here reminds of people back home so much. like when someone will do something its like ohh so and so would of done that. its good in a way tho cause i can feel right at home.

i love school, the classes are fun... does anyone feel like their IQ has dropped over the summer, or is it just me?

December 16th, coming home... i expect a welcoming party upon my arrival in logan...FYI... and if you actually did that... it would be kinda freaky

talk to alot of people today... i came to the conclusion that nipple peircings are hot to some people, and sweatshirts are wicked cool too! right layne?

Aug. 26th, 2004 12:29 am hey hey

well here it is! my college update! :)

well guys... what can i say ASU has been amazing! i have met some awsome people. my roomie is pretty cool and his friends are cool. its wicked funny because the people i have met down here are almost exactly like the crazy wakefield crew at home. which is awsome because i feel like i can be myself! i love it.

so today apparently the floor on my dorm is starting a dodgeball team, which is wicked exciting! i love dodgeball!

but i should be coming home skinny haha... classes are wicked far away from my dorm and i am sweating my ass off! all i do is walk... i really dont think there is such a thing as the freshman 15 at ASU.

the classes are awsome, the people are great. if this state had an ocean and of course my old school friends were here, i would def not consider leaving. haha. i say we just move wakefield out here! but i do miss everyone back home, best of luck to those who are starting school! i know you all will be awsome.

i have been so organized, i have been getting all my homework done early, and stuff! what a change for me huh.. lets just hope i keep it up haha

but i am really tired and have a long day tomorrow... night

i believe that only one person in a thousand knows the trick of really living in the present. most of us spend 59 mins an hour living int eh past, with regrets for lost joys, or shame for things badly done (both utterly useless and weakening)- or in a future which we either long for or dread, yet the past is gone beyond prayer, every minute you psend in the vain effort to anticipate the future is a moment lost. there is only one world, the world pressing against you at this minute. there is only one minute in which you are alive, this minute- here and now. the only way to live is by accepting each minute as an unrepeatable miracle. which is exactly what it is- a miracle and unrepeatalbe.

havin a blast in arizona, missin my wakefield crew!

Aug. 16th, 2004 12:09 am i love you all

to my wakefield crew...

you guys are my heart, my love, my life, my soul... i would be nothing without you. each and everyone of you have impacted my life. through the good and the bad, the thick and the thin... we have always been there, supporting eachother. the bonds that we all made these past 12,4,8 whatever years have grown deeper this past summer. i would be lying if i said i didnt cry, just not in front of people. but i can take comfort in knowing that each and every moment we spend together from here on out is just even more special and closer to my heart to make up for the time we are not near eachother. you are all amazing people and will go very far... i love you all with every inch of my heart. best of luck, and i will keep in touch, see you all in december!

well today was fun.

woke up wicked late, weird for me... just chilled here for a bit, did a couple of chores ya know how we do... then steph and ktd showed up at 3:15 to go in town. now let me tell you, i am going to miss the city of boston soo much! its so sad, tried to get into the sox game but because they have been on the road for so long i am assuming everyone wanted to go, so we couldnt get tickets , oh well... :( i guess i've been to enough games this year... so we ventured on over to the summer shack for dinner.. god i love that place! then to fanuel hall where went to the john kerry store. we're hometown tourist, because i wont be in the city for a while. then we went back to fenway for the sole reason to buy yankee hatin shirts! for myself i got the traditional Yankees suck and my roomie also requested the Jeter Sucks A Rod. oh man good times ahead. so now i am home, watching airline on AE and i am going to york beach tomorrow with my cousins so it should be exciting!

well adios kids!

well i finished packing today and mailed everything off to school. now all i have to do is bring my clothes and i am all set to rock for the next year in the big az.

so last night was fun, the CVS crew... me, petey, scott, and emily, went out after they got ou of work. we went to richardsons to play mini golf but they were closing up... DAMN IT! i really wanted to play mini golf too. however we ended up going to the new krispy kreme. and then i took them on a driving tour of boston, and my facts are not useless. haha. so it was a fun night over all.

so instead of getting a visa check card i just got a debit... which screws things up because i was supposed to have it bfore i go to school but now i wont anymore... oh well i will just deal for the week or so that it takes to get a new one. still sucks.

Jul. 29th, 2004 06:57 pm amazing speech

"there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes. Well, I say to them tonight, there's not a liberal America and a conservative America — there's the United States of America. There's not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America. The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don't like federal agents poking around our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and have gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and patriots who supported it. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.

In the end, that's what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope? John Kerry calls on us to hope. John Edwards calls on us to hope. I'm not talking about blind optimism here — the almost willful ignorance that thinks unemployment will go away if we just don't talk about it, or the health care crisis will solve itself if we just ignore it. No, I'm talking about something more substantial. It's the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs; the hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores; the hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta; the hope of a millworker's son who dares to defy the odds; the hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too. The audacity of hope!

In the end, that is God's greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation; the belief in things not seen; the belief that there are better days ahead. I believe we can give our middle class relief and provide working families with a road to opportunity. I believe we can provide jobs to the jobless, homes to the homeless, and reclaim young people in cities across America from violence and despair. I believe that as we stand on the crossroads of history, we can make the right choices, and meet the challenges that face us. America!

Tonight, if you feel the same energy I do, the same urgency I do, the same passion I do, the same hopefulness I do — if we do what we must do, then I have no doubt that all across the country, from Florida to Oregon, from Washington to Maine, the people will rise up in November, and John Kerry will be sworn in as president, and John Edwards will be sworn in as vice president, and this country will reclaim its promise, and out of this long political darkness a brighter day will come. Thank you and God bless you."

Senator Obama from Ill, i just thought it was an amazing speech. maybe our first black president, i hope!

Jul. 28th, 2004 12:43 am warning: contains anti-bush material!

okay so lately obviosly i have been obsessed with politics and the happenings in boston with the DNC, partially because i am working for the DNC but also because i feel extremely proud to be a democrat and to stand what my party stands for.

the past four years have been interesting. from election day of november four years ago it has been a rollercoaster. for people to say that government has no roll in their life and that they dont care to vote because of that, really offends me. the gov has everything to do with your life. everylittle speck! and the power that we as citizens of this great country have to choose the leader is, i feel a very big responsibilty. and we all must take advantage of that. we are the country that got the ball rolling on sufferage. take advantage and know that every vote does count. we really dont need the supreme court to decide who our next president will be this election. so go out and vote!

president bush, i personally feel has been a big mistake that we should of never happend. a president that has shattered diplomatic relations and brought us into two wars. dont get me wrong, i do believe that the war in afganistan is a war of nescesity but the war in iraq is a war of choice. there was no reason for us to go in there. the bush administration has descived the american people, into a war based on false principles. as the death toll in iraq excedes 1000, it makes it clear that americans did not know what they are getting themselves into. the war on terror has taken a horrible turn in iraq, breeding new generations of american haters. you cannot fight fire with fire. invading iraq is and was never the answer. iraq has just turned into a place were more people can gather to hate americans.

on the homefront, i will say the creation of the dept of homeland security was a good idea. but the fact the they are using this scare tactic on a color coded scale of terror warnings. it is clear that in some people it is working. my grandmother for example is very hesitant to go on a plane because of the terror warnings. were are under no bigger threat than before 9/11. the attacks on 9/11 were not the first terrorist attacks in the nation, if you remeber correctly they tried it before in the early 90s but the only difference is that the terrorist failed. they are jsut using the terror warnings to keep americans in a constant state of fear and unrest.

this is getting way to long but i could go on and on about mayn different issues. but in conclusion, i feel that president bush has let down the american people and the world. instead of being a great unifyer, he has been a great divider. he has failed to keep many promises that he made to the american people including the big one... "to restore honor to the presidency of the united states."

Jul. 22nd, 2004 12:04 am caught ya red handed!

well... i prob had the funniest night in the world tonight... but before recap:

last night i went to providence with ro, hebbs, and ktd, it was alot of fun. one of those random things that you just decide to do... i decided that driving the streets of providence at night is not something that you really want to be doing... then on our way back we stopped at the 2nd most religious spot in new england... gillette stadium! it was fun as hell. got home and concluded the night with a run through the sprinklers on vets field. ohh good times!

tonight, well... what can i say about tonight... had plans but they fell through, i guess. but then sara and emily showed up at my house and they showed me this cool house in melrose, then matt called and he was already at my house so i said we would be there in like 15 mins. so we picked up MW and then went to my house to plan out the night. ktd showed up and we all traveled to fridays for dinner. afterwards, we drove around for a bit and got in trouble like cool kids do! let me tell you... it was a fun night! :)

tomorrow i am working 3-10, should be interesting... dont know who i am working with but it is sure to be fun CVS style.

24 days till arizona! :)
